1865, described. The said company thereafter to hold said


lot of ground free of all claims of the State therein, and


as fully as if the deed hereinbefore recited had never been


made.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect


from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 577.


AN ACT to amend article eighty -one of the Code of Public


General Laws of Maryland, title "Revenue and Taxes,"


sub-title " Sales by Collection," by adding an additional


section thereto, to be designated as section thirty-four.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

New

Maryland, That article eighty one of the Code of Public

section.

sub title " Sales by Collectors," be and the same is hereby


amended by adding an additional section thereto to follow


section sixty -three thereof to be designated as section sixty-


three A and to read as follows :


63 A. On the final ratification of any sale of real estate

period allowed for redemption shall have expired, the clerk


of the court ratifying and confirming said sale shall forth-


with proceed to record and properly index the proceedings


relating to said sale in a well-bound book to be kept for the


purpose, for which recording and indexing, he shall be


entitled to charge the same fees as in the case of the record-


ing and indexing of other sales of real estate now required


by law to be recorded, which fees shall be taxed as part of


the costs of the proceedings, to be paid out of the proceeds


of said sale of real estate, if there shall be so much remain-


ing after the satisfaction of the taxes, charges on said real


estate and the costs of sale as provided by this article to be


paid otherwise to be charged against and paid by the


purchase.
