be collected for the year eighteen hundred and ninety-two,

from the issuance of tongue license in said county, to cut
|

and open a canal between Synepuxent Bay and the Atlantic

ocean, at or near where Green Run Inlet formerly was, and
|
|
|
|
that said money shall be expended under the supervision of
|
|
|
|
the board of county commissioners.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect

AN ACT to amend article 18 of the Code of Public Local
|
|
|
|
Laws of the State of Maryland, title "Queen Anne's
|
|
|
|
County," by adding a new sub-title thereto of "Queens-
|
|
|
|
town." and certain additional sections thereto under said
|
|
|
|
sub-title to follow section 218 of said article and to be
|
|
|
|
known as 218 A, 218 B, 218 C, 218 D, 218 E, 218 F and
|
|
|
|
218 G, relating to and providing for the incorporation of
|
|
|
|
Queenstown, Queen Anne's County.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That article 18 of the Code of Public Local
|
|
|
|
Laws of Maryland, title " Queen Anne's County," be and
|
Sections
added.
|
|
|
the same is hereby amended by adding thereto certain addi-
|
|
|
|
tional sections, to be classed under the sub-title "Queens-
|
|
|
|
town," and to follow section 218 of said article and to be
|
|
|
|
known as 218 A, 218 B, 218 C, 218 D, 218 E, 218 F, 218 G,
|
|
|
|
relating to and providing for the incorporation of Queens-
|
|
|
|
town, Queen Anne's County, and to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
218 A. The citizens and inhabitants of Queenstown,
|
|
|
|
Queen Anne's County, Maryland, are hereby created a body ,
|

corporate under the name and style of "The Commissioners"
|
corporated.
|
|
|
of Queenstown," with all the rights and privileges of a
|
|
|
|
body corporate and as such may sue and be sued and may
|
|
|
|
have and use a common seal and alter the same at pleasure.
|
|
|
|
218 B. The present bounds and limits of Queenstown shall
|
|
|
|
be as follows : Beginning at the foot of Old Wharf Lane
|
Boundaries
|
|
|
and runuing thence with the lines of the creek shore in a
|
of same.
|
|
|
westerly direction until it intersects the divisional line
|
|
|
|
between the lands of William McKenney and the land of
|
|
|
|
William McConner, thence with said divisional line extended
|
|
|
|
a southeasterly course across the " Gallows Field Farm" of
|
|
|
|
William Hannetta De May, until it reaches a point in a
|
|
|
|
|
