CHAPTER 512.


AN ACT to prohibit fast driving or riding on or over the


highway bridge across the Potomac River at Hancock,


Maryland, of the Hancock Bridge Company of Washing-


ton County.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That it shall be unlawful for any person or per-

sons riding, driving or leading any horse, mule or other

animals, loose or attached to a vehicle, out of or faster than

a walk, on or over the highway bridge, across the Potomac


River, at Hancock, Maryland, of the Hancock Bridge Com -


pany of Washington County, under a penalty of ten dollars


for each and every offense.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all such fines, as well as


tolls or fees for crossing said bridge be and the same are

proceedure as ordinary debts are now collected and that the


horse, mule or other animal or vehicle so ridden or driven


is hereby made liable to execution and sale for said fine or


toll, provided, that said horse, mule or other animal or


vehicle was so used by the owner thereof or with his


knowledge and consent.


SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the regular keeper

SEC. 4. And he it enacted, That this act shall take effect

CHAPTER 513.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments sections
214 and 214 A, of article 2 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," sub-title " Sheriff,"
as said sections appear in chapter 395 and 503 of the acts
1890, and to add a new section to said article to follow
immediately after section 214 A, to be designated as sec-
tion 214 B.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Aesembly of
