Repealed
and re-

ten of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Dorchester

enacted.

County," sub-title " Cambridge " be and the same are hereby


repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as


follows :


SEC. 42. The corporate limits of the town of Cambridge


are extended and defined so as to include all the land and

territory contained and embraced within the following

"limits of

metes and bounds, courses and distances, to wit : Beginning

bridge.

at the south corner of J. W. Crowell's land at Hambrook's


road on Glasgow street extended and thence running in a


straight line to the most northerly boundary of the said


town on the sounth side of the Horn's Point road, thence


running and binding with the south side of said road to the


next boundary on the said road, thence running and bind-


ing with another line of the said town to the western


boundary of the said town, thence running and binding


with the present southern and eastern line or limits of said


town to the foot of Cemetery avenue, thence across Cam-


bridge Creek and in a line parallel with Maryland avenue


to the county road leading from the avenue last aforesaid


to the Jacktown road, thence with the lands of John Hurst
and binding therewith to Choptank River, thence running


and binding with the said river (and including the wharves


at the foot of High street and Mill street) to the point on


the shore at which the divisional line between the said


Crowell's and S. T. Milbourne's lands, if extended in a


straight line to the said river would strike the same, and


thence in and with said extended and divisional line to the


place of beginning, provided that all municipal taxes levied


upon and collected from the property within the area or


territory brought within the corporate limits of the town of


Cambridge by the provisions of this act, and not heretofore


within said corporate limits, shall be exclusively applied to


and expended for the improvement of that part of the town


so brought within the said corporate limits for a period of


three years from the date of this act.


SEC. 44. The said town shall be divided into five wards

First

as follows, to wit: First ward, beginning for the first ward

ward.

at the foot of Gay street, thence binding with Cambridge


Creek and Choptank River (including the wharves at the


foot of High street and Mill street) to the northwestern


line or limit of the said town, thence with the said line to


the south corner of said Crowell's land at Hambrook's road,


thence with the said road and Glasgow street to High street,


thence with High street to Court lane, and thence with


Court lane to the beginning.


Second ward, beginning for the second ward at the corner


of High street and Glasgow street, thence binding with
