LAWS OP MARYLAND.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any person, or persons,


firm, or company convicted of selling any fermented, or

spirituous liquors, or lager beer within a radius of one

liquor, &c.

mile and a half from the point of crossing of the Baltimore


and Torktown Turnpike and the Northern' Central Railway


at Parkton, Baltimore County, shall be subject to a fine of


not less than fifty dollars nor more than one hundred dollars


in the discretion of the court, and stand committed to the


jail until such fine, and costs of the prosecution, are paid ;


one -half of the said fine to go to the informer, the other half


to the school fund of Baltimore County.

Effective.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect


from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 484.


AN ACT to repeal section 361 of Article 4 of the Public


Local Laws, title l< City of Baltimore," sub-title "Harbor,


Docks and Wharves," and to re-enact the same with


amendments.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Repealed

Maryland, That section 361 of article 4 of the Public Local

Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title "Harbor,


Docks and Wharves," be and the same is hereby repealed


and re-enacted so as to read as follows.


SEC. 361. The mayor and city council may regulate by


ordinance the time during which any goods, wares, merchan-

dise, or other articles may remain on any wharf belonging

to the city, or on any of the public wharves, other than

of Pratt street wharf reserved for the use of the State,


within the said city, or the time which the vessels, boats or

late, establish, and collect for the use of the city such


wharfage as they may think reasonable, upon any goods,


wares, merchandise, or other articles landed at or upon,


and shipped from any of such wharves.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall


take effect from the date of its passage.
