commissioners from granting permission to railways of

Baltimore City or other county railways from extending
|
|
|
|
their lines over the highways of said county, upon proper
|
|
|
|
application to said board of commissioners and upon said
|
|
|
|
board being satisfied that any such extension would benefit
|
|
|
|
the public.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That said company is hereby
|
|
|
|
authorized, to enter into agreements with any passenger
|
|
|
|
railway company of the city of Baltimore for the making
|

of track connections at the limits of said city or within
|
railway
|
|
|
Baltimore County with such city railway and to make
|
com-
panies.
|
|
|
agreement with such city railway for the carrying of the
|
|
|
|
passengers of each over the other, and if such city railway
|
|
|
|
with which track connections have been made shall be by
|
|
|
|
law authorized to use electricity as a motive power, said
|
|
|
|
company hereby incorporated is hereby authorized to enter
|
|
|
|
into agreements with such city railway for the furnishing of
|
|
|
|
such quantities of electricity or electric motive power as
|
|
|
|
such city company may desire or require for the purpose
|
|
|
|
of operating its railway, and said company hereby incor-
|
|
|
|
porated is authorized to lease or cousolidate with other
|
|
|
|
railways.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
|

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, section

two hundred and thirty -six, of article twenty-two, of the
|
|
|
|
Code of Public Local Laws, title " Washington County,"

|
|
sub-title "Hancock."
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted, That section two hundred and
|
|
|
|
thirty-six, of article twenty-two, of the Code of Public
|
Repealed
|
|
|
Local Laws, title "Washington County," sub -title "Han-
|
and
re-enacted
|
|
|
cock," be and the same is hereby reapealed and re-enacted
|
|
|
|
with amendments, so as to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
236. The said burgess and commissioners may levy a tax
|
|
|
|
on the property within the town to such amount as may
|

|
|
|
from time to time be deemed necessary, not to exceed, how-
|
|
|
|
ever, in any one year twenty-five cents on each one hundred
|
|
|
|
dollars worth of property, and may appoint a collector to
|
|
|
|
collect the same, and prescribe his term of office, responsi-
|
|
|
|
bility and compensation ; and the said collector shall have
|
|
