SEC. 34. And be it enacted, That said corporation shall

SEC. 35. And be it enacted, That the mayor and council-


men are hereby authorized and empowered to build and erect

to enter and pass through, from time to time, as occasion


may require, and to use and occupy the said lands through


which they may deem it necessary to convey said water, and


they are hereby vested with all the rights and powers


necessary for the introduction of water into the said town.


SEC. 36. And be it enacted, That the mayor and councilmen


are hereby authorized and empowered to issue coupon bonds

of said town, to an amount not exceeding forty thousand


dollars, which said bonds shall be signed by the mayor and


clerk of said town, and attested with the corporate seal


thereof, and shall be denominated "Lonaconing Water


Bonds " and bear interest not exceeding six per centum per


annum, payable semi-annually, to be issued in denomina-


tions, not exceeding five hundred dollars, and to be payable


at a time, not exceeding thirty years after their date, and


redeemable at the pleasure of the corporation at any time


after five years from their date, provided, however that no


issue of bonds under this section shall be made without


first submitting the question of their issue, and the amount


to be issued, to the legal voters of said town at any geueral


corporation, or special election, after having given thirty


days' public notice by hand bills, and publication in one or


more newspapers in said town, and a majority of the legal


votes cast upon such question shall be in favor thereof.


SEC. 37. And be it enacted, That the mayor and council-


men are hereby authorized and empowered to levy and col-


lect a special tax on the assessable property of said town,
