CHAPTER 409.


AN ACT to repeal section two hundred and seventy-three,


of article ninety-three, of the Code of Public General Laws,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

compensation for his office or employment, or the emolu-


ments thereof, and such Register of Wills are hereby au-


thorized to appoint such assistant clerks and deputies, and


when duly qualified as such, said assistant clerks and depu-


ties, shall have power and authority, in the absence of the


register, to act in the place and stead of the register in all


matters pertaining to the duties of the office of Register of


Wills ; and all such acts heretofore performed by any such


assistant clerk or deputy are hereby expressly ratified and


confirmed as if they had been performed by the Register of


Wills in person.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
