CHAPTER 389.


AN ACT to add three new sections to article twenty-four of


the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Worcester County,"


sub -title " County Commissioners," to follow immediately


after section eighty-four, and the sub-title " County Com-


missioners," and to be designated as sections "eighty-


four A," "eighty -four B," and "eighty-four C."


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That three new sections be, and the same are

Local Laws, title "Worcester County," sub-title "County


Commissioners," to follow immediately after section eighty -


four and the sub-title "County Commissioners," and to be


designated as section "eighty-four A," "eighty -four B,"


and " eighty -four C," to read as follows :

five County Commissioners for Worcester County three of


whom shall be elected for and serve the term of two years,


and two of whom shall be elected for and serve the term of


four years, and thereafter on the expiration of the term for


which the said commissioners shall have been elected, there


shall be elected respectively three county commissioners and


two county commissioners for the term of four years to suc-


ceed the said commissioners whose terms shall thus have


respectively expired, and the terms for which said commis-


sioners shall thereafter be elected shall be for the full term


of four years and said commissioners so elected shall sev-


erally receive for the services performed the same compen-


sation as is now allowed by law.
