further provided that the commissioners elected at the

date of their election, or until their successors are elected

and qualified. The Commissioners of Wicomico County

shall have all the powers and perform such duties as are

now or may hereafter be conferred by law upon the county

commissioners in the several counties in this State not

inconsistent herewith, and in addition thereto, shall have

the entire control and management of the alms house and
|
|
|
|
|
poor of said county, without the intervention of trustees of
|
|
|
|
|
the poor.

|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
|

AN ACT to add certain sections to article four of the Code

|
|
|
of Public Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-
|
|
|
|
|
title "Police," to come in after section 756 and to be
|
|
|
|
|
designated as sections 756 A, 756 B, and 756 C.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That the following sections be and they are hereby
|

|
|
added to article four of the Code of Public Local Laws,
|
sections.
|
|
|
|
title " City of Baltimore," sub -title " Police," to come in
|
|
|
|
|
after section 756, and to be designated as sections 756 A,
|
|
|
|
|
756 B, and 756 C.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
756 A. The Board of Police Commissioners for the
|
|
|
|
|
city of Baltimore are authorized to pay out of the
|
Police
|
|
|
|
special fund mentioned in section seven hundred and fifty -
|
patrol boat.
|
|
|
|
five of this article, the cost of the maintenance and
|
|
|
|
|
operation of the police patrol boat recently built and
|
|
|
|
|
manned by said board under authority conferred by law on
|
|
|
|
|
said board, including therein the wages of engineers and
|
|
|
|
|
firemen of said boat ; and said board are authorized to
|
|
|
|
|
appoint on its force two officers for said boat who shall be
|
|
|
|
|
styled commander and first officer respectively, of the
|
|
|
|
|
police patrol boat, and shall have the rank and pay of
|
|
|
|
|
Lieutenants of Police of the city of Baltimore.
|
|
|
|
|
756 B. The Board of Police Commissioners for the city of
|
|
|
|
|
Baltimore are hereby authorized, out of the special fund
|

mentioned in section seven hundred and fifty-five of this
|

|
|
article, to pay the purchase money of the ground needed for
|
|
|
|
|
|
