ments of such road completely effected ; and the said Board

of County Commissioners shall have such power and author-
|
|
|
|
ity to condemn outlets for such drainage through private
|
|
|
|
property as is now or hereafter may be conferred by the
|
|
|
|
Code of Public General Laws of the State of Maryland for
|
|
|
|
condemning public highways and the said board are author-
|
|
|
|
ized to allow and pay said surveyor or engineer for his ser-
|
|
|
|
vices, four dollars per day for every day he may be actually
|
|
|
|
engaged in such service for the county.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 48 A. And be it further enacted, That in order to
|
|
|

procure the money or money's necessary to adopt such sys-

tem of drainage and improvement of the public roads as

provided for in the foregoing section the Board of County
|
|
|
|
Commissioners are hereby authorized and empowered to
|
|
|
|
issue from time to time and put on the market bonds to be
|
|
|
|
denominated, Somerset County Road Bonds, for an amount
|
|
|
|
not exceeding fifty thousand dollars in the aggregate which
|
|
|
|
bonds shall be issued in amounts of not less than one hun-
|
|
|
|
dred dollars for each bond, payable in forty years from the
|
|
|
|
date thereof and bearinginterest at the rate of four per cent.

|
|
per annum, the interest to be provided for by levy on the
|
|
|
|
assessable property of the' county each year after the same
|
|
|
|
or any part thereof have been issued and disposed of and
|
|
|
|
said bonds shall not be subject to taxation for State, county
|
|
|
|
and municipal purposes and after twenty years from the
|
|
|
|
date of said bonds, the said Board of County Commissioners
|
|
|
|
shall make provisions by levy annually for such amount as
|
|
|
|
may be necessary to meet and pay the principal of said bonds
|
|
|
|
at their maturity.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 48 B. And be it further enacted, That said Board of
|
|
|
|
County Commissioners shall be authorized and empowered
|
|
|

to divide any election district in Somerset County in which

there shall be over six hundred registered voters into two or
|
|
|
|
more voting precincts and to locate and provide the neces-
|
|
|
|
sary buildings and suitable accommodations for holding
|

elections and primaries therein.

|
|
SEC. 48 C. And be it enacted, That said Board of County
|
|
|

preserve from fire the present and future records, belonging

|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
|
|
|
