SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the board of directors


shall make all by-laws, rules and regulations necessary for

authorized and empowered to build a double or single track


suburban railway to be operated by electricity in any form,
or by any improved power used for the propulsion of street

to build the necessary switches, to its car barns or power


houses, and also to build the necessary turnouts, between


the city of Baltimore and the village of Towson in Balti-


more County, by the following route : Beginning for the


same at the corner of Barclay Street and North Avenue,


and running thence north on Barclay Street, as opened, and


to be opened to Sixteenth Street, as laid down on the plat


of the streets now filed in the office of the County Com-


missioners at Towsontown, thence east on Sixteenth Street


to the York turnpike road, and thence across said York


turnpike road easterly to Carroll Avenue, thence on Carroll


Avenue easterly either to the Old York road or to Friske


Street as laid out in the street plat filed in the office of the


County Commissioners at Towsontown, but not yet opened,


and then northerly either on the Old York road to Arling-


ton Avenue, or northerly on Friske Street, as opened or to


be opened to Arlington Avenue, and thence on Arlington


Avenue northeasterly to a point between the property known


as the Teackle property and that belonging to the estate of


John W. Garrett, and thence northerly by the most con-


venient route to Woodbourne Avenue, thence northeasterly


across Woodbourne Avenue to Beauregard Avenue and then


north on Beauregard Avenue to the Whiteley property, and


then northerly by the most convenient route to Register


Avenue, and then by the most convenient route to the
