justices of the peace and twenty constables to be appointed

approved by the county commissioners, conditioned that he


will well and faithfully execute the duties and obligations


of the office of justice of the peace and that he will account


for and pay over to the county commissioners of Anne


Arundel County all fines, penalties, forfeitures and costs


imposed by him and which he shall receive for, or on


account of criminal offences tried before him under the


provisions of the Code of Public General and Public Local


Laws, and that he will account for and pay over to the


mayor, counselor and aldermen of the city of Annapolis, all


fines, penalties, forfeitures and costs imposed by him and


which he shall receive for or on account of criminal offences


tried before him for violations of the code of the city of


Annapolis, and that he will well and faithfully account for


and pay over to the persons and corporations entitled to the


same, all moneys coming into his hands on account of col-


lections of small debts placed in his hands for collection or


on judgments recovered in civil actions. And the bond of


the said justices shall be liable at the suit of the State of


Maryland for the use of the county commissioners of Anne


Arundel County and of the mayor, counselor and aldermen


of the city of Annapolis of any person or corporation enti-


tled in any default of said condition.


171 B. The justices of the peace of the sixth district


shall attend at their respective offices in the city of
