CHAPTER 320.

AN ACT to refund to Henry C. Rawlings, trustee of J. H.
|
|
|
|
Harrington, late collector of taxes for the second district
|
|
|
|
of Caroline County, the sum of one hundred and four
|
|
|
|
dollars and fifty -one cents for money paid into the State
|
|
|
|
treasury of the State of Maryland in excess of the amount
|
|
|
|
due by him to the State of Maryland for taxes for the
|
|
|
|
years eighteen hundred and eighty -six, eighteen hundred
|
|
|
|
and eighty-seven, eighteen hundred and eighty -eight and
|
|
|
|
eighteen hundred and eighty -nine.
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, It appears by the books of the comptroller's
|
|
|
|
office that J. H. Harrington, late collector of taxes for
|
Preamble.
|
|
|
Caroline County, has paid into the treasury of the State of
|
|
|
|
Maryland the sum of one hundred and four dollars and fifty-
|
|
|
|
cents in excess of the amount due by him for State taxes
|
|
|
|
for the years eighteen hundred and eighty-six, eighteen
|
|
|
|
hundred and eighty-seven, eighteen hundred and eighty-
|
|
|
|
eight and eighteen hundred and eighty -nine, and
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, the treasury officers of the State of Maryland
|
Preamble.
|
|
|
have recommended the passage of a law refunding the said
|
|
|
|
sum of money to said collector, and
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, the said Henry C. Rawlings, has been
|
|
|
|
appointed by the Circuit Court of Caroline County trustee
|
Preamble.
|
|
|
for the benefit of creditors of the said John H. Harrington
|
|
|
|
and is the proper person to receive the same, therefore,
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That the treasurer of the State of Maryland be
|

and is hereby required upon the warrant of the comptroller
|
tion.
|
|
|
of the State of Maryland, to pay to Henry C. Rawlings,
|
|
|
|
trustee as aforesaid, the sum of one hundred and four dollars
|
|
|
|
and fifty -one cents out of any moneys in the treasury of the
|
|
|
|
State of Maryland not otherwise appropriated.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this act shall take effect
|
