CHAPTER 293.


AN ACT to repeal section four hundred and twelve of arti-


cle eight of the Code of Public Local Laws, title " Cecil


County," sub-title "Sales of Spirituous or Fermented


Liquors," as enacted by chapter four hundred and seventy-


four of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland


of 1890, and to re-enact the same with amendments.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of

County," sub-title "Sales of Spirituous or Fermented


Liquors," as enacted by chapter four hundred and seventy-


four of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of


1890, be, and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so


as to read as follows :


SEC. 412. No license to sell spirituous and fermented

Cost of

liquors in Cecil County shall be granted to any hotel keeper

who shall have complied with the provisions of this act,

until such applicant shall pay to the clerk aforesaid the sum

of two hundred and fifty dollars, if said applicant shall de-


sire a license to sell spirituous or fermented lipuors in any


incorporated town iu said county or within two miles of


the corporate limits thereof, and the sum of one hundred


and fifty dollars if said applicant shall desire to sell spiritu-


ous or fermented liquors in said county not within the limits


nor within two miles thereof of any incorporated town


therein, aud the said amounts received by said clerk for


license aforesaid, less the amount or amounts due and pay-


able to the State under the provisions of sections sixty -


nine to eighty-one inclusive of article fifty-six of the Code


of Public General Laws, title " Ordinary Keeper " or either


of them, to be ascertained by said clerk, shall be by said


clerk paid over to the County Commissioners of said county


for the use of said county.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
