for two years, one for four years and one for six years; and


on the same day in every second year thereafter there shall


be elected one commissioner to serve for six years, and until


his successor shall be elected and qualified.


SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That in case of any office of


county commissioner of said county shall become vacant

Vacancy

by death, resignation, removal or otherwise, then the


Governor shall fill' such vacancy by appointment as provided


by section three of article twenty-five of the Code of Public


General Laws of this State, and such appointment shall


continue only until the next general election for members


of the General Assembly which shall occur thereafter, at


which said general election a successor shall be elected for


the remainder of the term that may then remain uuexpired,


SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That all acts or parts of acts


inconsistent with the provisions of this act are hereby

repealed.


SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect

from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 292.


AN ACT to sanction the bequest contained in the last will


and testament of Sabilla Bankest, late of Carroll County,


Maryland, deceased, to the trustees of Saint Matthew's


Reformed Congregation of Pleasant Valley, Carroll


County, Maryland.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That the sanction and consent of said General


Assembly of Maryland be and the same is hereby given to

Sanction of

the bequest contained in the last will and testament oi

bequest.

Sabilla Bankest, deceased, late of Carroll County, Mary-


land, to the trustees of Saint Matthew's Reformed Congre-


gation of Pleasant Valley of said Carrol County, Maryland.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect


from the date of its passage.

Effective.
