CHAPTER 294.


AN ACT authorizing the County Commissioners of Alle-


gany County to levy a certain sum of money to J. N.


Willison for services as attorney to the Board of Super-


visors of Election of Allegany County.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Allegany

Authority
to levy.

County be and they are hereby authorized to levy to J. N.


Willison the sum of one hundred and twenty-five dollars


attorney's fees for eighteen hundred and ninety, and fifty


dollars for rent of office for eighteen hundred and ninety


and eighteen hundred and ninety-one, necessary expenses


incurred by the Board of Supervisors of Election of Allegany


County in carrying out the provisions of the election laws


act of eighteen hundred and ninety, chapter 538.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect

from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 295.


AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commis-


sioners of Talbot County to issue bonds to the amount of


twenty-five thousand dollars bearing interest at a rate not


exceeding five per cent, per annum, for the purpose of


raising a sum of money sufficient to pay the county's sub-


scription of twenty-five thousand dollars to the capital


stock of the Baltimore and Eastern Shore Railroad


Company.


WHEREAS by an act of the General Assembly of Mary-


land passed at its January session in the year eighteen

County Commissioners of Talbot County were authorized to


endorse the bonds of the Baltimore and Eastern Shore Rail-


road Company to an amount not exceeding fifty thousand


dollars, when a majority of the qualified voters of said county


should determine in favor of such endorsement and that the


bonds so endorsed to be secured by a mortgage on the


property and franchises of said Baltimore and Eastern
