CHAPTER 291.

AN ACT to repeal section fourteen of article twenty -five of

the Code of Public General Laws title " County Com-

|
missioners," so far as the same relates to Talbot County
|
|
|
|
|
and to repeal section thirty-one of article twenty -one of
|
|
|
|
|
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Talbot County,"
|
|
|
|
|
sub-title "County Commissioners — Compensation," and
|
|
|
|
|
to re-enact the last named section with amendments so
|
|
|
|
|
far as to fix the terms and compensation of the County
|
|
|
|
|
Commissioners of Talbot County.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That section fourteen of article twenty -five of the
|
|
|
|
Repeal
|
Code of Public General Laws, title " County Commis-
|
|
|
|
|
sioners," be and the same is hereby repealed so far as the
|
|
|
|
|
same relates to Talbot County and that section thirty-one
|
|
|
|
|
of article twenty-one of the Code of Public Local Laws,
|
|
|
|
|
title " Talbot County," sub-title " County Commissioners —
|
|
|
|
Amend-
|
Compensation," be and the same is hereby repealed and this
|
|
|
|
ment.

last named section re-enacted with amendments so as to
|
|
|
|
|
read as follows :
|
|
|
|
|
SEC. 31. There shall be three County Commissioners of
|
|
|
|
|
Talbot County ; they shall receive four dollars for each day
|
|
|
|

mileage at the rate of ten cents per mile for every mile from

elected at the last general election for four years from the date

and qualified, and that the county commissioners hereafter
|
|
|
|
|
to be elected for said county shall be elected on general
|
|
|
|
|
ticket by the qualified voters of said county on the Tuesday
|
|
|
|
|
next after the first Monday in the month of November in
|
|
|
|
|
the year eighteen hundred and ninety-five, as follows : One
