empowered to levy upon the assessable property of their


respective counties such sums of money as may be necessary


from time to time to defray said cost in the proportion


aforesaid.


SEC. 11. And be it further enacted, That the Commission-


ers of Baltimore and Howard Counties shall meet at Orange

the result of the election aforesaid, for the purpose of de-


termining the location of said bridge according to the pro-


visions of this act, and after having taken such joint action


in relation to the location and construction of said bridge


as in their discretion may be necessary to carry out the pro-


visions of this act, the Commissioners of Baltimore County


shall cause immediate action to be taken towards opening a


road from a point on Rolling Road at or near the present


terminus of Wilkins' avenue to Orange Grove ; and the


Commissioners of Howard County cause immediate action


to be taken towards opening a road from said bridge to a


point on the road leading from the Ilchester road near the


Locust Methodist Chapel to the Washington turnpike at or


near Blkridge Landing, which point shall be nearly opposite


the dwelling of Ernest W. Morrison ; and said roads shall


be opened in accordance with the provisions of the road laws


of the respective counties.

CHAPTER 281.

AN ACT to repeal sections ninety-four, ninety-five, ninety-
six, ninety-seven and ninety-eight of article fourteen of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title"Howard County,"
sub-title " Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks," so far as the
same applies to that part of the second election district of
Howard County, included within the corporate limits of
Ellicott City, and to add new sections to said article four-
teen of the Code of Public Local Laws, to follow section
ninety-eight to be designated as sections ninety-eight A,
ninety-eight B, ninety-eight G, ninety-eight D, ninety-
eight E, ninety-eight F. and ninety-eight G.

SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sections ninety-four, ninety-five, ninety-
six, ninety-seven and ninety-eight of article fourteen of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Howard County," sub-
