clerks in conformity to said article thirty -three of the Code

of Public General Laws, whose duties and penalties, obli-

gations shall be as therein provided ; and in appointing
|
|
|
|
such judges the county commissioners aforesaid shall select
|
|
|
|
one of said judges for each election precinct or district in
|
|
|
|
said county from among those of a different political party
|
|
|
|
from themselves, and also one of each judges from those of
|
|
|
|
opposite opinions, '' For removal of county seat to La Plata, "

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That John H. Mitchell, I.

land, be and they are hereby constituted a building committee

for the purpose of having said court house and jail erected,

and selecting a site or sites therefor at La Plata, and in case
|

|

of the death or refusal to act or resignation of any one or

more of them a majority of the judges of the Circuit Court
|
|
|
|
for said county shall fill the vacancy or vacancies, the num-
|
|
|
|
bers of said committee shall serve without pay, a majority
|
|
|
|
of them shall form a quorum for business and shall be nec-
|
|
|
|
essary for the decision of all questions arising in the discharge
|
|
|
|
of their duties, and said committee shall as speedily as may
|
|
|
|
be, procure a site or sites for the erection of said buildings
|
|
|
|
by gift, purchase or condemnation for and in the name of the.
|

missioners of Charles County, and the proceedings shall be

tion of Property by Corporations," so far as the provisions of

|
|
|
the same may be applicable hereuuto provided the Circuit
|
|
|
|
Court of Charles County may confirm the same or such notice
|
|
|
|
as shall be fixed by an order passed on said inquisition of
|
|
|
|
not less than ten nor more than twenty days after the passage
|
|
|
|
of this order.
