CHAPTER 234.


AN ACT to repeal sections 396, 397, 398, 399, 400, 401, 402,


403, 404, 405, 406, 407, 408, 409, 410, 411, 412, 413, of


article eleven of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled


"Frederick County," sub -title " Point of Rocks," relat-


ing to the town of Point of Rocks, and to re-enact the


same with amendments by substituting in lieu thereof the


following sections 396, 397, 398, 399, 400, 401, 402, 403,


404, 405, 406, 407, 408, 409, 410, 411, 412, 413, 413 A, 413


B, 413 C, 413 D, 413 E, 413 F.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

eleven of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled " Frederick


County," sub-title " Point of Rocks," relating to the town


of Point of Rocks, be and the same are hereby repealed and


re-enacted so as to read as follows ; and that the following


sections be added, to be known as sections 413 A, 413 B,


413 C, 413 D, 413 E, 413 F.


SEC. 396. The citizens of Point of Rocks are a body cor-

porate by the name of "the Burgess and Council of Point of


Rocks," and by that name may have perpetual succession,


sue and be sued, and may have and use a common seal.


SEC. 397. The limits of said town shall be as follows :

Commencing at the Kanawha Spring at the margin of the


Potomac river, and with said river westerly one mile ; thence


a northerly direction with the Catoctin mountain three-


fourths of a mile ; and thence with a straight line to the


place of beginning.


SEC. 398. The male citizens of Point of Rocks of twenty-

be designated by the council, between the hours of nine


o'clock a. in. and six o'clock p. m., elect one person at least

sons not less than twenty-five years of age, councilmen of


said town of Point of Rocks, who, together with the bur-


gess, shall constitute the council, all of whom shall be tax-


payers, and residents of said town at the time of their


election, and bhe councilmen shall receive no pay for their


services ; provided, the place for holding the first election
