Susanna Warfield, late of Carrol County, deceased, and


which will bears date the thirtieth day of May in the year


eighteen hundred and eighty-two, that, is to say ; first the


devise of land and the bequeaths of personalty to the con-


vention of the Protestant Episcopal Church of the diocese


of Maryland contained in said will and codicils ; second,


the bequest of six thousand dollars made by said will to the


vestry of the parish of the Holy Trinity in Carroll County.


SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall

CHAPTER 128.


AN ACT to authorize the burgess and commissioners of


Middletown, Frederick County, Maryland, to issue bonds


for the purpose of constructing, operating and keeping


in repair, water works for said town.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That the burgess and commissioners of Middle-


town, Frederick County, Maryland be and they are hereby

authorized and empowered to issue bonds in the name of

the said municipal corporation, to an amount not exceeding


the sum of eleven thousand dollars ($11,000) the bonds to


be issued under the provisions of this act, shall be issued


in sums of not less than fifty dollars nor more than five


hundred dollars each, and the said bonds shall be sealed


with the corporate seal, signed by the burgess and counter-


signed by the clerk of the Board of Commissioners of said


town, each of the said bonds shall be payable, thirty years

expiration of ten years, from their respective dates, bearing


interest not exceeding five per cent per annum, payable
