CHAPTER 104.
|

AN ACT to add an additional section to article ten of the
|
|
|
|
|
Code of Public Local Laws, title " Dorchester County,''
|
|
|
|
|
to be called section three hundred and twenty -one, regu-
|
|
|
|
|
lating the pay of witnesses.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That the following section be added to article
|
|
|
|
New
|
ten of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Dorchester
|
|
|
|
section.
|
County," to be called section three hundred and twenty-
|
|
|
|
|
one, regulating the pay of witnesses.
|
|
|
|
|
SEC. 321. Each witness summoned to attend the Circuit
|
|
|
|
Pay of
|
Court for Dorchester County chair be entitled to receive, for
|
|
|
|
witnesses
|
each day he shall attend, the sum of seventy-five cents, and
|
|
|
|
in
Dorchester
|
an allowance of five cents per mile for every mile his place
|
|
|
|
County
|
of residence shall be distanced from the place of holding
|
|
|
|
|
the court, to be computed for each day's attendance.
|
|
|
|
Effective.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
|
|
|
|
|
from the date of its passage.
|
|
|
|
|

CHAPTER 105.
|
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to repeal section three hundred and thirty-seven
|
|
|
|
|
of article eight of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
|
|
|
|
|
" Cecil County." sub-title " State's Attorney," and re-en-
|
|
|
|
|
act the same with amendments.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
Repeal and
re-enact-
|
Maryland, That section three hundred and thirty-seven, of
article eight, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title " Cecil
|
|
|
|
ment
|
County," sub -title "State's Attorney," be and the same is
|
|
|
|
|
hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
|
SEC. 337. The State's attorney of Cecil County shall
|
|
|
|

|
receive an annual salary of fifteen hundred dollars to be
|
|
|
|
State's
|
paid to him by the county commissioners of said county in
|
|
|
|
Attorney of
Cecil
|
quarterly instalments from the first Monday in January,
|
|
|
|
County.
|
eighteen hundred and ninety -two, the same to be levied by
|
|
|
|
|
the county commissioners for the use of the State's attorney
|
|
|
|
|
as aforesaid.

|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
|
|
|
|
Effective.

from the date of its passage.
