CHAPTER 87.


AN ACT to incorporate the Home for the Aged of Frederick


City ; whereas, Ann Grahame Ross, Margaret S. Brunner,


Anna B. Helfenstein, Margaret E. S. Hood, Sara Andrew


Shafer, Cornelia Ringgold Ross, Eleanor Murdoch John-


son, Emma J. Smith, Virginia Markell Baker, Agnes


Fearhake, Ruth Gouverneur Johnson, Eleanor Murdoch


Tyler, Rebecca B. Winebrener, Anne C. Kunkel, Caroline


Matilda Markell, Amelia Mary Tyson, Marv E. McKinney,


Ellen Virginia Doll, Florence Trail, Willie Anna Walker


Stauffer, all residents of Frederick County, State of Mary-


land, have associated themselves together as a society or


association by the name of "The Home for the Aged of


Frederick City," for the benevolent purpose of rendering


charitable aid, so far as it may be in their power, to aged


persons residents of Frederick County, or elsewhere, and


providing a home with the comforts thereof for such aged


persons, who may need the same in accordance with the


rules and regulations, which said society or association


may establish or adopt, and for the purpose of carrying


into effect their benevolent plans, have prayed that trus-


tees may be incorporated with power to receive, hold and


dispose of contributions, donations, gifts, grants, devises


and bequests of all kinds of property, estate and effects


to a limited extent. Therefore,


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That Charles W. Ross, William P. Maulsby, Jr.,


Henry Williams, George Markell, W. Irving Parsons and
Edward S. Eichelberger and their successors in office, elected


in the manner hereinafter provided, shall be and they are

hereby incorporated and made a body politic by the corporate

name of the "Trustees of the Home for the Aged of Fred-


erick City," and by that name shall have perpetual succession


and be capable in law of receiving and holding in trust and


of using 'and disposing of all kinds of gifts, grants, convey-


ances, donations, devises, and bequests of estate, real, per-


soual and mixed property and effects not exceeding in amount


one hundred thousand dollars, and by the said name may


sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded, answer and defend,


may have and use a common seal, and the same may alter


and renew at pleasure, and may exercise all the other powers


incident to corporations aggregate, and all powers, rights
