CHAPTER 64.


AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section


one and to repeal section eleven of chapter 183 of the


Laws of Maryland, passed at the session of 1890, entitled


" An act to create a treasurer for Calvert County and to


provide for the collection of taxes therein.


SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That section one of chapter 183 of the acts of

same is hereby repealed and re-enacted to read as follows :


SEC. 2. That the Governor of the State of Maryland, by

collector of all State and County taxes for whatever pur-

pose or purposes levied or to be levied for or within said


county during the term of his office, or that may be placed


in his hands for collection; and he shall have full power and


it shall be his duty to receive and collect all State and


county taxes levied as aforesaid and so put in his hands


for collection, and all moneys which maybe due said county,


with full power to enforce the payment of the same by sale


or otherwise, and to convey title to any real or personal


estate sold by him ; and when it shall be necessary for him


to proceed to collect the taxes paid in his hands by sale of

except that a notice of unpaid taxes by a constable or con-
