No. 260. An act to provide for the removal of the County Seat

of Charles County from Port Tobacco to La Plata, in said

county, if the qualified voters of said county, shall so

determine and to provide for the erecting of a court house

and jail at La Plata, in the said county, if the qualified

voters shall so determine, and the procuring of a site or sites

for the same, and authorizing the county commissioners of

said county to borrow money and issue bonds for the pay-

ment of the same for the purpose aforesaid, to levy taxes for

the payment of the principal and interest of said bonds,

appointing all officers for the disbursement of the same and
