if the licensee is a hotel keeper he may supply such liquors to be

tain, or permit to be placed or maintained upon any premises used

or any other obstruction, or shall expose in any window upon


said premises any bottle, cask or other vessel containing or pur-


porting to contain intoxicating liquor in such a way as to inter-


fere with a view of the business conducted upon the premises.


184 O. Druggists and apothecaries in said city shall not be


required to obtain license under the provisions of this sub-title,


but they shall not sell intoxicating liquors, nor compound or mix


any composition thereof, except upon the written prescription of


a regular physician; nor more than once on any one prescription

of such physician; and every druggist or apothecary in said city


shall keep a book for the special purpose and enter therein the


date of every sale of intoxicating liquor made by him, the person


to whom sold, the kind, quantity and price thereof, and the pur-


pose for which it was sold, and such book shall be at all times


open to the inspection of the said mayor, counsellor and alder-


men, or of any person designated and authorized by them to make


such inspection, and shall be produced before the said mayor,

counsellor and aldermen when required; and any failure to

comply with the provisions of this section shall render such drug-

gist or apothecary so failing, liable to the same penalties as if he

had sold intoxicating liquors without a license.

184. P. Any person who shall hereafter be convicted of selling in-

toxicating liquors or any admixture thereof in the city of Anna-

polis without a license under the provisions of this sub-title, shall

be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than five hundred dollars

nor more than one thousand dollars, or undergo imprisonment in

the jail of Anne Arundel county or in the house of correction of

not less than three months nor more than twelve months, or to

184 Q. Any person having a license under the provisions of this

sub-title who shall hereafter be convicted of violating any of the

provisions of sections one hundred and eighty-four A to one hun-
