AN ACT to pay John Waiters, and Bartlett, Hayward & Co., for

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

AN ACT to authorize the mayor and city council of Cumberland


to issue seventy thousand dollars of coupon bonds of said city


for the purpose of applying the proceeds thereof to the pay-


ment of certain bonds of said city known as "Cumberland


water bonds," issued under and by virtue of the authority of


an act of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the


January session thereof, eighteen hundred and seventy, chapter


two hundred and forty-one, which bonds mature on the first


day of June, eighteen hundred and ninety.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That the mayor and city council of Cumberland be and they are


hereby authorized to issue coupon bonds of said city to the amount


of seventy thousand dollars in denominations of not less than one
