CHAPTEE 77.


AN ACT to prohibit the sale of spirituous or fermented liquor


or lager beer in the village of Urbana, Frederick county, Mary-


land, or within two miles thereof.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of Maryland


That it shall not be lawful for the clerk of the circuit court or


Frederick county, Maryland, to issue license to any personor

persons to sell spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer ir


Urbana, or at any place nearer than two miles in every direction


from Urbana, unless for medicinal purposes, and then only upon


the prescription of a regular physician.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from


the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 78


AN ACT to sanction and approve chapter two hundred and eleven


of the acts of eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, entitled an


act to authorize the county commissioners of Frederick county


to subscribe to the capital stock of turnpike companies in said


county.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
