and shall thereupon enter the same upon their minutes and give


to each supervisor a copy thereof.


287. For the repairs of roads and bridges the county commis-


sioners shall not in any one fiscal year levy, nor incur liabilities,


or an expenditure greater than the sum of fifteen thousand dol-


lars, and of each and every item of such expenditure for repairs

from all others so as to show as nearly as possible at all times the


expenditures made or incurred on such behalf, and what part of


such annual levy remains subject to appropriation, which account
