CHAPTER 524.

AN ACT to give and grant the sanction of the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
|
of Maryland to sundry gifts, sales, leases, grants, devises and
|
|
|
|
|
bequests of various persons in this State to or for the use of
|
|
|
|
|
sundry religious sects, orders and denominations therein named.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
|
|
|
That the sanction and consent of the general assembly be and is
|

hereby granted and given to the following gifts, sales, leases, grants,
devises and bequests, to or for the use of the several religious
|

sects, orders and denominations hereinafter set forth, viz :

First. To the bequest of Lucy Barnes of Frederick county, to

|

the Qninn African methodist episcopal church of Frederick city,
|
|
|

Shank, to the evangelist Lutheran congregation of Woodsboro',

Frederick county, Maryland, of one hundred dollars, said will re-

corded in liber H. L., number one, folio five hundred and sixteen,
|
|
|
|
|
a record book of Frederick county, Maryland; also, the gift of
|
|
|
|
|
James P. King, to the vestry of All Saint's Episcopal church,
|
|
|
|
|
Calvert county, of five hundred dollars of the preferred bonds of
|
|
|
|
|
the city of Memphis, Tennessee, for the use of said church; to
|
|
|
|
|
the bequest of L. N. Gunthert, to the trustees of the Eutaw place
|
|
|
|
|
baptist church for the sole use of their Sunday school, of five
|
|
|
|
|
hundred dollars, in memoriam of his departed son, Martin Bur-
|
|
|
|
|
nett Gunthert.

|
|
|
Third. To the sale and grant by Abraham Grenspon to the

|
|
|
|
trustees of the aushe emunah Hebrew congregation of Baltimore

|
|
|
|
city, a body corporate of the city of Baltimore, in the State of
