records, in liber F. A. P., number eight hundred and eighty-six,


folio two hundred and thirty-two, said St. John's English evan-


gelical independent lutheran church of Baltimore city did grant
and convey the aforesaid lot of ground in fee-simple to the home

missionary society of the Maryland annual conference of the


methodist protestant church, a corporation duly incorporated


under the laws of this State; and


WHEREAS, said home missionary society of the Maryland


annual conference of the methodist protestant church are now


seized in fee and possessed of said lot of ground, the title to the


same being acquired under and through the several conveyances


hereinbefore mentioned, and doubts have been suggested as to the


validity of their title to said property and their acquisition and
holding thereof under the aforesaid conveyances, until the sanction

of the said general assembly shall have been given to each of the


several aforementioned conveyances and the successive acquisition


and holding and disposal of said ground by each of the respective


religious corporations hereinbefore mentioned; and


WHEREAS, said corporation, the home missionary society of the

bly to each of the aforesaid conveyances, and its title to said


property thereunder ratified and confirmed; therefore,


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That the leave and sanction of said general assembly be and is


hereby given to each of the several hereinbefore mentioned con-


veyances of lease, assignment or deed, and that the leave and sanc-


tion of the said general assembly be and is hereby given to the suc-
cessive acquisition, holding and disposal of said lot of ground

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from
