SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
|
|
That the comptroller of the State be and is hereby authorized and
|
|
|
|
directed to draw his warrant upon the treasurer of the State in
|
|
|
|
favor of Thomas & Evans, printers, for the sum of ($1,175)
|
To pay.
|
|
|
eleven hundred and seventy-five dollars, being the amount due
|
|
|
|
them for printing the State school report for the year eighteen
|
|
|
|
hundred and eighty-eight.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from
|
|
|
|
the date of its passage.
|

AN ACT to repeal section one hundred and eighty-five, of art-
|
|
|
|
icle ten, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
|
|
|
|
"Dorchester county," sub-title "Fish," and to re-enact the same
|
|
|
|
with amendments.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
|
|
That section one hundred and eighty-five, of article ten, of the
|
|
|
|
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Dorchester county,"
sub-title "Fish," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
|
Repeal.
|
|
|
with amendments, so as to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
SEC. 185. It shall be unlawful for any person to use patent
|
|
|
|
twine weirs, or other twine weirs, pound nets, fykes, or with haul-
|
|
|
|
ing seines of greater length than three hundred and fifty feet for
|
|
|
|
the taking or catching of fish in the following waters of Dor-
|
|
|
|
chester county : Fishing bay, Honga river, Black water river and
|
|
|
|
its tributaries, Little Choptank river and its tributaries, Trans-
|

late nets.

|
|
quakin river and its tributaries; provided, that the provisions of
|
|
|
|
this sub-title of this article shall not apply to that portion of the
|
|
|
|
Little Choptank river known as "Oyster creek or bay," nor to
|
|
|
|
that portion of said river or any tributary thereof lying south of
|
|
|
|
a straight line drawn from the northern limits of Hooper's point
|
|
|
|
to the northern limit of the point of land on the Susquehanna
|
|
|
|
shore, on the west side of the month of Woolford's creek, or to
|
|
|
|
fasten or stick stakes in that part of Black water river lying
|
Limits.

|
|
between a line drawn from Grog point to the opposite side of the
|
|
|
|
river, and a line drawn from Booze's ditch to the opposite side of
|
|
|
|
the river except in the bends of said river where stake weirs are
|
|
|
|
now set.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from
|
|
|
|
the date of its passage.
|
