CHAPTER 60.


AN ACT to amend article ten of the Code of Public Local Lavs,


title "Dorchester county," sub-title "Trespass," by adding cer-


tain sub-sections thereto.


SECTION 1. And be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-


land, That article ten of the Code of Public Local Laws, title

hereby amended by adding the following sub-sections to section


two hundred and ninety-seven of said article.


SUB-SECTION 1. Any person or persons who shall wilfully and


maliciously enter upon the enclosed lands of another with intent


to annoy or disturb, or provoke to a breach of the peace the owner


or owners, occupant or occupants thereof, or who shall wilfully


enter upon or cross the enclosed land of another after being fore-

in person or by written or printed posters placed in at least five

misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof before a justice of the

twenty-five dollars and the costs of prosecution, and to stand com-


mitted to the jail of said county until such fines and costs are

cretion of the court or justice trying the same.


SEC. 2. Any person or persons who shall wilfully or maliciously


leave open any private or farm gate by which any growing crop


or crops become exposed to damage by the entrance of stock of


any kind thereon, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and

not less than five dollars nor more than fifty dollars and the costs


of the prosecution, and stand committed to the jail of said county


until such fines and costs are paid, or for a term therein not ex-


ceeding sixty days, in the discretion of the court or justice trying

Effective.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from


the date of its passage.
