CHAPTER 402.

AN ACT to repeal section thirty-seven, of article fifty-two, of
|
|
|
|
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Justices of the Peace,"
|
|
|
|
sub-title "Judgments," and to re-enact the same with amend-
|
|
|
|
ments.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted ty the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
|
|
That section thirty-seven, of article fifty-two, of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Justices of the Peace," sub-title
|
Repeal
|
|
|
"Judgments," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
|
|
|
|
so as read as follows :
|
|
|
|
SEC. 37. The said clerk shall record the said judgment forth-
|
|
|
|
with, and shall endorse thereon the time and place of its record,
and may then deliver the same to the plaintiff, and the clerk shall '
|

have said judgments properly indexed; said judgments shall be
liens from the date of such recording; the said clerk shall enter
|
|
|
|
any of said judgments satisfied upon the order in writing of the
|
|
|
|
plaintiff or his attorney, and shall file such order in his office.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from

CHAPTER 403.
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to refund to Daniel C. Hammett and Blanche Garner,
|
|
|
|
administrators of William Wood Garner, of St. Mary's county,
|
|
|
|
the sum of five dollars and seventy-two cents, for money erro-
|
|
|
|
neously paid into the treasury of the State.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
|
|
That the treasurer of the State be and he is hereby authorized and
|
|
|
|
directed, upon the warrant of the comptroller, to pay to Daniel ,
|
To repay.
|
|
|
C. Hammett and Blanche Garner, administrators of William Wood
|
|
|
|
Garner, the sum of five dollars and seventy-two cents, for State
|
|
|
|
taxes paid into the treasury for the year eighteen hundred and
|
|
|
|
eighty-four.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from
