87 A. If any person or persons, shall on his or their own be-

shall for on behalf of any firm, copartnership or corporation, re-


ceive, accept or take in trust, from any person, persons, firm, co-


partnership or corporation, any warehouse receipt or elevator re-


ceipt, or bill of lading or any document giving or purporting to


give title to, or the right to possession of any goods, wares, mer-


chandise or other personal property of any kind, under or sub-


ject to any written contract or agreement expressing the terms and


conditions of such trusts; and if such person or persons so re-

ceiving any warehouse receipt or elevator receipt, bill of lading or


any document giving or purporting to give title to or the right to


possession of any goods, wares or merchandise or other personal


property of any kind shall, in violation of good faith, fail, neglect,


or refuse to perform or fulfill the terms and conditions of such


trust as expressed in such written con tract or agreement, then and


in every such case such person or persons so failing, neglecting or


refusing to perform or fulfill the terms and conditions of such


trust shall, on being convicted thereof, be imprisoned in the peni-


tentiary for a term not more than ten years or less than one year,


or be fined not more than five thousand dollars or less than five


hundred dollars, or both in the discretion of the court.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from

AN ACT to give and declare the sanction of the General Assem-


bly of Maryland to certain grants of land to the Central presby-


terian church of the city of Baltimore.


WHEREAS, by deed bearing date the fourth day of April, eigh-


teen hundred and eighty-nine, and recorded among the land


records of said city in liber J. B., number one thousand two hun-


dred and thirty-six, folio two hundred and sixteen, &c., Franklin


Dorr, of Baltimore city, in consideration of the sum of thirteen

and conveyed to the Central presbyterian church of the city of


Baltimore a body corporate duly incorporated, the twenty-three


lots of ground on the east side of Patapsco street between Beverlin


street and Birkhead street in said city, in said deed particularly


rendered and described; and


WHEREAS, George S. Appold and Sarah M. Appold, his wife,


of Baltimore city, by deed bearing date the second day of April,
