and seventy-six, chapter one hundred and sixty-four, an annuity


of fifteen hundred dollars, to be paid in semi-annual payments of

CHAPTER 48.


AN ACT to amend the act passed in eighteen hundred and eighty-


eight, chapter four hundred and thirty, entitled "An act to


incorporate the community of Mountain Lake park."


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That the community of Mountain Lake park shall have all the


police and sanitary powers which the Mountain Lake park asso-


ciation of Garrett county had, by Act of Assembly, over all land


belonging at any time to said Mountain Lake park association of

Powers.

Garrett county, including the whole tract of land commonly


known as "Mountain Lake Park," to preserve order and decorum,


to regulate the running at large of cattle and other animals and


fowls, and to provide for the extension, making, building, im-


provement, care and maintenance of the grounds, commons, roads,


drives, bridges, walks, plank ways, drains, sewers, water streams,


water ways, and other improvements in and upon said Mountain


Lake park in Garrett county for the common good of said com-


munity.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said community of Mountain


Lake park, shall have the power to appoint such police and peace


officers as they may deem necessary for the keeping order and


enforcing all by-laws and ordinances which may be adopted by


said community in accordance with law, and for the trial of all

persons charged with the violation of said by-laws and ordinances


within the limits of the said Mountain Lake park, and the impo-


sition of such fines and penalties as are in such by-laws and ordi-


nances provided for.


SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That said community of Mountain


Lake park shall within the limits aforesaid, have power to make
