CHAPTER 309.


AN ACT to repeal and re-enact section fifty-nine, of article


eleven, of the Code of. Public Local Laws of Maryland, title


"Frederick county," sub-title "Birds and Game."


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That section fifty-nine, of article eleven, of the Code of Public

"Birds and Game," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-


enacted so as to read as follows :


SEC. 59. It shall not be lawful for any person to shoot or trap


gray or fox squirrels from the twentieth day of December to the


fifteenth day of August; and if any person shall be found guilty


by any justice of the peace of said county of a violation of this


section, he shall be adjudged to pay a fine of not less than five


dollars for each and every squirrel killed, for the first offense,


and upon failure or refusal of the party to pay said fine, he shall

days; and for each and every such offense after the first, such


party shall be subject to a fine of not less than ten dollars for


each squirrel killed; and upon failure or refusal to pay said fine,


he shall be committed to the county jail for a period not less

ever, shall not be denied to any person adjudged guilty.

AN ACT to repeal chapter two hundred and twenty-seven, of the


laws of Maryland, passed at the January session of eighteen


hundred and eighty-two, entitled an act to incorporate the Bal-


timore, Brooklyn and Cedar hill railway company.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of Maryland,
