AN ACT to authorize the county commissioners of Charles county

to pay to Joseph N. Hay den a certain sum of money on account

of taxes paid in error.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted By the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
|
|
That the county commissioners of Charles county be and they
|
|
|
|
are hereby authorized and directed at their next annual levy of
|

taxes for the said county, to levy for the use of Joseph N. Hay-
|
|
|
|
den, the sum of four dollars and forty-six cents, as taxes paid in
|
|
|
|
error for the years eighteen hundred and eighty-five to eighteen
|
|
|
|
hundred and eighty-eight, both inclusive.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from

AN ACT to amend and reduce into one the several acts relating
|
|
|
|
to the incorporation of "The president and managers of the Bal-
|
|
|
|
timore humane impartial society" and of "The Baltimore humane
|
|
|
|
impartial society and aged women's home," and to change the
|
|
|
|
name of the corporation to that of "The Baltimore humane im-
|
|
|
|
partial society and aged women's and aged men's home."
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, an act was passed on December twenty-seventh,
|
|
|
|
eighteen hundred and eleven, being chapter eighty-six, of the acts
|
|
|
|
of the General Assembly of eighteen hundred and eleven, to in-
|

corporate the humane impartial society under the name of the
|
|
|
|
president and managers of the Baltimore humane impartial
|
|
|
|
society, and an act to revive the same was passed on February
