CHAPTER 287.




AN ACT to enable William E. Martin to settle his account as


guardian with Eobert McGinn.

Preamble.

WHEEEAS, some doubt has arisen as to the age of Eobert McGinn;


and,


WHEREAS, the said Eobert claims that he has reached the age

CHAPTER 288.


AN ACT to repeal section one hundred and ninety-nine, of article


fifteen, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title " Kent county,"


sub-title " Sheriff," and to re-enact the same with amendments.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of Maryland,

Repeal

That section one hundred and ninety-nine, of article fifteen, of


the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Kent county," sub-title


" Sheriff," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, so


as to read as follows :


SEC. 199. And be it enacted, That the sheriff of Kent county


shall be entitled to receive a sum, not exceeding fifty cents a day,


for boarding and keeping each prisoner committed to his custody,


until the first day of December, in the year eighteen hundred and


ninety-one; and from and after the first day of December, in the


year eighteen hundred and ninety-one, the said sheriff shall be

entitled to receive a sum, not exceeding thirty-five cents a day,

prisoners

for boarding and keeping each prisoner committed to his custody,


and the said sheriff is hereby required to keep a book at the jail


which he shall procure for the purpose, in which he shall record


the name of each prisoner committed to his custody, and by what


authority, the time when received, and the offense charged, and


also the date of his discharge, which book shall be open to the
