CHAPTER 287.

AN ACT to enable William E. Martin to settle his account as
|
|
|
|
guardian with Eobert McGinn.
|
|
|
Preamble.
|
WHEEEAS, some doubt has arisen as to the age of Eobert McGinn;
|
|
|
|
and,
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, the said Eobert claims that he has reached the age
|
|
|

of twenty-one years and ought to have the small amount in the
|
|
|
|
hands of William E. Martin, his guardian, paid him; now, there-
|
|
|
|
fore,
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
|
|
That William E. Martin, the guardian of Eobert McGinn, be and
|
|
|
To settle.
|
he is hereby authorized and empowered to settle his guardian ac-
|
|
|
|
count with said Eobert McGinn, and that the said Eobert McGinu
|
|
|
|
be and he is hereby authorized to execute to said William E. Mar-
|
|
|
|
tin a release which shall be as valid and binding as if said Eobert
|
|
|
|
McGinn were twenty-one years of age.
|
|
|
Effective.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from
|
|
|
|
the date of its passage.
|
|
|
|

CHAPTER 288.
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to repeal section one hundred and ninety-nine, of article
|
|
|
|
fifteen, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title " Kent county,"
|
|
|
|
sub-title " Sheriff," and to re-enact the same with amendments.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
|
Repeal
|
That section one hundred and ninety-nine, of article fifteen, of
|
|
|
|
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Kent county," sub-title
|
|
|
|
" Sheriff," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, so
|
|
|
|
as to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
SEC. 199. And be it enacted, That the sheriff of Kent county
|
|
|
|
shall be entitled to receive a sum, not exceeding fifty cents a day,
|
|
|
|
for boarding and keeping each prisoner committed to his custody,
|
|
|
|
until the first day of December, in the year eighteen hundred and
|
|
|
|
ninety-one; and from and after the first day of December, in the
|
|
|
|
year eighteen hundred and ninety-one, the said sheriff shall be
|
|
|

entitled to receive a sum, not exceeding thirty-five cents a day,
|
|
|
prisoners
|
for boarding and keeping each prisoner committed to his custody,
|
|
|
|
and the said sheriff is hereby required to keep a book at the jail
|
|
|
|
which he shall procure for the purpose, in which he shall record
|
|
|
|
the name of each prisoner committed to his custody, and by what
|
|
|
|
authority, the time when received, and the offense charged, and
|
|
|
|
also the date of his discharge, which book shall be open to the
|
|
|
