CHAPTER 40.


AN ACT to repeal section forty-two, of article thirteen, of the


Code of Public Local Laws, title " Harf ord county," sub-title


" Birds and Game," and to re-enact the same with amendments.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That section forty-two, of article thirteen, of the Code of Public


Local Laws, title "Harford county," sub-title "Birds and Game,"

Repeal

so far as the same relates to Harford county be repealed, and as to


said county re-enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:


42. It shall not be lawful to shoot, trap, maim or kill, or in any


manner injure, destroy or expose for sale, any partridge or rabbit


in Harford county, between the first day of January and the Wed-


nesday next succeeding the Tuesday after the first Monday in No-
vember; nor any woodcock between the first day of January and

Unlawful.

the tenth day of June; nor any rail birds, reed birds or pheasants,


between the first day of February and the first day of September


in each year; and the possession of any of the birds or game


mentioned in this section during the prohibited periods, shall be


deemed prima facie evidence against such person of a violation of


this section, except when it may appear that such birds or game


are for breeding purposes.

CHAPTER 41.


AN ACT to authorize the county commissioners of Montgomery


county to borrow money on the credit of the county, for the


purpose of erecting a new fire-proof court house in the town


of Rockville, in said county; to issue bonds for the payment of


the same, and to levy taxes on the assessable property of said


county to redeem said bonds and to pay the interest thereon,


and to provide for the erection and furnishing of said court


house.


SECTION' 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That a new fire-proof court house shall be built with all necessary


offices in the town of Eockville, in Montgomery county, on the


site of the present court house, and that said new court house and


offices when constructed shall be furnished with all the necessary

in said building for said county, members of the bar and public


officers, and with such other things as their convenience may re-
