CHAPTER 218.


AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of grad-


ing and sodding the public grounds around the State library

AN ACT to further amend the charter of the Baltimore and


Drum Point railroad company in regard to the construction of


branches, and to enable the said company to lease, operate or

That whenever the president and directors of the Baltimore and


Drum Point railroad company shall deem it expedient to con-

points thereon, and in any direction, the same not to exceed fifty


miles in length, and that the said company be and it is hereby fully


authorized and empowered to lease, operate or consolidate with any


other railroad or railroads not competing or parallel or nearly par-
allel with said Baltimore and Drum Point railroad in any locality


in a southerly, southeasterly or southwesterly direction from Bal-


timore city, Drum Point or Washington city.
