in said wards duly numbered as aforesaid, and each of said nine


precincts under its own proper number, as the same may bo laid


off by the said board of police commissioners; and after haying


made a careful and exact copy of the same, in two other proper


and suitable books, and after verifying the said original book and


the said two copies under their own signatures, they shall deposit


the original book so containing the boundary of said wards and


the nine precincts in each thereof duly arranged and numbered,


in the clerks office of the superior court of Baltimore city; and


it shall be the duty of the said clerk of the superior court of Bal-


timore city to record the same among the land records of his said


office, and a certified copy of the description or descriptions con-


tained in the said record of the boundary lines of any one or more


of the election precincts therein mentioned and described, shall


be evidence of the boundary or boundaries of such election pre-


cinct or precincts so laid out as aforesaid; and one verified copy


of the said original book so made as aforesaid shall be retained


and always kept in the office of the said board of police commis-


sioners among their records and for the use of the supervisors of


election in said city, and the other copy shall be delivered to the


mayor of the city of Baltimore for the use of the mayor and city


council of Baltimore to be deposited among the records of said


city.


SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That when the said book


so containing the boundaries and descriptions of the said election


precincts in said ninth, eleventh, twelfth and twentieth wards as


in this act is directed, has been deposited for record in the clerk's

office of the superior court of Baltimore city, then the said elec-


tion precincts of said ninth, eleventh, twelfth and twentieth


wards as in said book are numbered, described and laid out, shall


thereafter be deemed and taken for all intents and purposes to be


the several election precincts of the said ninth, eleventh, twelfth


and twentieth wards of the city of Baltimore.


SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That it shall be the duty of


the board of police commissioners for the city of Baltimore to
