CHAPTER 168.


AN ACT to authorize and empower the county commissioners of


Dorchester county to levy a sum of money to aid in the con-


struction of a bridge across the northwest prong of the Nanti-


coke river, at Brookview, in Dorchester county,


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

That the county commissioners of Dorchester county are hereby
authorized and empowered, if in their judgment it shall be deemed


advisable, to levy such sum or sums of money as may be necessary


to aid in the construction of a bridge across the northwest prong


of the Nanticoke river, at Brookview, in Dorchester county, Mary-


land.


Approved March 22, 1890.


CHAPTER 169.


AN ACT to refund Joseph A. Price, late collector of State taxes


for the first election district of Harford county, a sum of money


paid erroneously by him f or State taxes into the treasury of the


State of Maryland.


WHEREAS, it appears from the books of the comptroller's office


that Joseph A. Price, late collector of State taxes for the first elec-


tion district of Harford county, has paid into the treasury of the

Preamble.

State of Maryland the sum of forty-nine dollars and forty-five


cents in excess of the amount due by him for State taxes for the


years from eighteen hundred and eighty-five to eighteen hundred


and eighty eight, inclusive; and,


WHEREAS, the treasury officers of the State of Maryland have

recommended the passage of a law refunding the said sum of


money to said collector; therefore,


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That the treasurer of the State of Maryland be and he is hereby


required, upon the warrant of the comptroller of the State of
