CHAPTER 397.

AN ACT to repeal section eighteen of article one
|
|
|
|
|
of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Alle-
|
|
|
|
|
gany county," sub-title " County Commissioners,"
|
|
|
|
|
and to re-enact said section with amendments.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
|
|
|
|
|
bly of Maryland, That section eighteen of article one
of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Allegany
county," sub-title " County Commissioners," be and
|
Repealed and
re-enacted.
|
|
|
|
is hereby repealed and re-enacted to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
|
18. He shall be entitled to such compensation as
|
|
|
|
|
shall be fixed by the county commissioners, and he
|
|
|
|
|
shall have power to administer oaths to all road
|
|
|
|
|
supervisors who come before said commissioners to
|
|
|
|
|
settle their accounts, touching the fairness and truth
|

of such accounts, and to all persons who come before

|
|
said commissioners to make transfers, or ask for re-
|
oaths
|
|
|
|
bates or reductions, or other changes in assessments

|
|
|
|
on the assessment books of said county, and shall

have power to take affidavits to all papers to be filed
|
|
|
|
|
in the office of said commissioners.

|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
