CHAPTER 385.


AN ACT to enable the Mayor and Council of


Hagerstown to pay ont to the First Hagerstown


Hose Company and the Independent Junior Fire


Company, two fire companies of said town, the


sum of three thousand dollars, for the purchase of


steam fire engines, and to issue bonds to raise


money for said purpose.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly


of Maryland, That the Mayor and Council of Hag-


erstown be and they are hereby authorized and em-


powered to pay out to the First Hagerstown Hose

panies to purchase steam fire engines or hose car-

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That for the purpose
