and shall likewise make oath well and faithfully to

discharge the duties by this article imposed on him,

or which may be assigned to him during his official

term by law, the said oaths to be administered by
|
|
|
|
|
the " Board of Supervisors of Elections in Baltimore
|
|
|
|
|
city," or any one of said supervisors, signed by the
|

proceedings of said board, or in case of exigency to
|
|
|

be administered by any justice of the peace, who shall

|

corded as aforesaid.

|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

AN ACT to add an additional section to article
|
|
|
|
|
three of the Code of Pnblic Local Laws, entitled
|
|
|
|
|
" Baltimore county," sub-title " County Commis-
|
|
|
|
|
sioners."
|
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS the County Commissioners of Balti-
|
|
|
|
|
more County, in some cases, have been compelled to
|
|
|
|
|
bid property sold for county and State taxes at pub-
|
|
|
|
|
lic auction, for the amount of taxes and costs due
|
|
|
|
|
thereon ; and w'hereas a doubt has arisen as to their
|

authority to so do, and it is desirous to legalize their
|
|
|
|
|
action in this respect, and to authorize them in ref-
|
|
|
|
|
erence to the bidding on tax sales hereafter to be
|
|
|
|
|
made.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That the action of the County Com-
|
