unless the person for whom it is made is, in his

judgment, actually sick, or such liquor is required

as a medicine ; and any physician who shall, after

one, make or sign any prescription for such liquor,

except as aforesaid, shall be deemed guilty of a vio-

lation of this act, and upon conviction thereof shall

be fined not less than fifty nor more than two hun-

dred dollars for the first offence, and not less than
|
|

two hundred nor more than three hundred dollars

AN ACT to repeal section two hundred and thirteen

of article four of the Code of Public Local Laws,
|
|
|
|

title " City of Baltimore," sub-title " Elections,"
|
|
|
|
|
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That section two hundred and thirteen
|
|
|
|
Repealed and

of article four of the Code of Public Local Laws,
|
|
|
|
re-enacted.

enacted so as to read as follows :

SEC. 213. Each of the said judges and clerks, as
|
|
|
|
|
soon as may be after his appointment, and before
|
|
|
|

proceeding to act at any election, shall take the gen-

|
|
|
|
eral oath prescribed by the sixth section of the first
|
|
|
|
|
article of the constitution, and also the oath pre-
|
|
|
|
|
scribed by the thirty-fifth article of the Code of Pub-
