	CHAPTER 303.
	AN ACT to repeal section two hundred and ninety-
	two of article twenty-one of the Code of Public
	Local Laws, title " Washington county," sub-title
	" Sheriff," as the same was amended by chapter
	three hundred and twenty-six of the acts of the
	General Assembly, passed at the January session,
	eighteen hundred and seventy-four, and to re-en-
	act the same with amendments.
	SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
	of Maryland, That section two hundred and ninety-
	two of article twenty-one of the Code of Public
	Local Laws, title "Washington county," sub-title " Sheriff," as the same was amended by chapter three	Repealed and re-enacted
	hundred and twenty six of the acts of eighteen hun-
	dred and seventy-four, be and the same is hereby re-
	pealed and re-enacted with an amendment so as to
	read as follows :
	SEC. 292. The sheriff of Washington county shall
	be entitled to forty cents per day for keeping each
	prisoner that may be confined in the jail of said
	county, and shall be allowed for necessary fuel for
	the jail and house attached thereto such sum as the	Compensa-
