	CHAPTER 284.
	AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money as com-
	pensation to William J. Aydelotte for services
	rendered the State as commissioner to survey and
	mark the boundary line between the States of
	Virginia and Maryland.
	SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
	of Maryland, That the Treasurer, upon the warrant of the Comptroller, is hereby directed to pay to Wil-
	liam J. Aydelotte, out of any money in the treasury	Directed to
	not otherwise appropriated, the sum of forty-five	pay.
	dollars and fifty cents, as compensation for services
	rendered the State as commissioner to survey and
	mark the boundary line between the States of Vir-
	ginia and Maryland.
	SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take	Effective.
	effect from the date of its passage.

	CHAPTER 285.
	AN ACT to repeal section one hundred and fifty-
	nine of article one of the Code of Public Local
	Laws, entitled " Allegany county," sub-title " Sher-
	iff," and to re-enact said section with amendments.
	SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
	bly of Maryland, That section one hundred and fifty-nine of article one of the Code of Public Local	Repealed and
	Laws, entitled "Allegany county," sub-title " Sheriff," as enacted by chapter one hundred and eight, laws of	re-enacted.
	eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, be and the same is
	hereby repealed and re-enacted to read as follows :
